Start an assignment

  1. Open Work

Open Work and write in the composer at the bottom. Describe the result you need, the relevant project, and any deadline.

  2. Choose where the result also goes

Choose Here only, Here and by email, Here and on Slack, or Here and on Teams. Slack is available as soon as your Slack account is linked; Teams needs your Teams identity linked.

  3. Review and keep going

The result appears on Work when it is ready. Write your next message to keep going.

Documents and results

Attach up to 10 files totaling 20 MB in the composer, or identify documents already in Projects. Put larger files in Projects first; uploads there can be up to 5 GB per file. Without the case.dev plugin, Projects holds Desk and Personal.

Delivered files open in a preview beside the conversation. Highlight a passage to Ask Para about it or Request changes; the answer or revision continues in Work. Open Activity to see your assignments from every channel, with a Full record for each.

Current limitations

  • Para works in the background and shows the result when it is ready. You can draft your next message meanwhile; it sends after Para replies.
  • Work shows your own conversation with your own Para. Shared Para work from Slack channels appears in Activity.
  • If an assignment could not be sent, choose Try again rather than writing it out a second time.
  • An extra notification can fail even when the result is available on Work. Check the page before submitting the same assignment again.
