Ask Para to join a supported meeting and keep its recording, transcript, and summary on file.

Set up a meeting capture

  1. Check meeting availability

Your organization must have meetings enabled. Meeting defaults are under Meetings on Channels. If Para says recording is unavailable, connecting Teams chat will not enable it.

  2. Provide the meeting link

Share a Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Webex link with Para, or use Meetings. Say when to join and describe any additional notes or deliverables you need.

  3. Admit the recorder

The recorder joins as a meeting participant. The host may need to admit it from the waiting room or allow recording under the meeting’s policy.

  4. Review the finished capture

After the meeting and processing finish, open Meetings for the recording, transcript, and summary. Ask for a separate deliverable if you need a memo or other file.

Who can see the meeting

Meeting visibility depends on its privacy setting, participants, team, and explicit shares. The owner or an administrator manages those settings. Review the audience before creating a share link; link-visible meetings can be viewed without signing in.

Current limitations

  • Check that the recorder actually joined the meeting. Waiting rooms and meeting policies can prevent it from entering or recording.
  • A Teams meeting recorder is separate from Para’s personal Teams chat and from Para in Copilot.
  • Transcription and summarization happen after capture and can take additional time.
  • Do not assume a calendar invitation alone schedules capture; use a meeting link or the Meetings page.
  • If recording is unavailable, ask your administrator whether meetings are enabled for your organization.
